Remember how cute Kirsten Dunst and Jake Gyllenhaal were together back in the early two thous? They were the ultimate Hollywood hipster power couple before Taylor Squared was even born.
Four years later, they're both still looking for love (and better than ever) in recently released music videos. Jake's in the new Vampire Weekend - "Giving Up The Gun", while Kirsten is in a remake of "Turning Japanese".
Is it kismet or just a random resurgence of popular post-90s celebs?
When Japanese visual artist Takashi Murakami set out to create a short film for the Pop Life: Art in a Material World exhibit at the Tate Modern, he enlisted Charlie's Angels director McG to help bring his vision to life. And apparently, that vision consisted of turning Kirsten Dunst into an anime-styled magical princess and letting her loose on the streets of Tokyo. Behold the result: a sparkly, colorful, "WTF?"-inducing cross-cultural pop art explosion set to the tunes of The Vapors' "Turning Japanese."(Cinematical)
Sporting super-short shorts and taking swigs from a flask full of booze, JG bumbles around the court mean-mugging his opponent and—we have to admit—we loved every second of it. Is this his best work in recent years? Probably. (E Online)
Our fav Gossip Girl, Leighton Meester, was in town last week for a special live performance at Chicago hot spot, The Underground. The "Good Girls Go Bad" singer donned a sheer lace top accompanied by a black bralette, paired with high-waisted trousers from local boutique, Sofia Vintage (1165 N Clark Street | (312)640-0878).
While mesh might be a good look for Leighton, we think the trend, seen all over the Spring 2010 runways, is a little risqué for us regular girls.
What do you think??

We all know by now that vampires have taken over the world with shows such as Vampire Diaries and movies such as New Moon. With such attention drawn to these characters and actors most of us would think that they would be prime example of style and fashion...then approaches Kristen Stewart....what was she thinking? This takes "muffin top" to a new level. Tell us what you think.
After a sold out show at the Congress Theatre on Sunday with LMFAO, Shwayze and Cisco Adler spent Monday relaxing and recovering in Chicago.
The LA duo were spotted giving themselves a little retail therapy at Sofia Vintage(1165 N. Clark St. Suite 400) in the Gold Coast. Adler went home with a pair of Chanel swim trunks(let's hope they aren't too short- NSFW!) and a Giorgio Armani sport coat, while Shwayze came away with a Steven Shein ring and custom Sofia sweatshirt.
All the while, a film crew followed along for an upcoming webisode to be aired on I Am Rogue.com.
I would give my left kidney and three toes to live this lifestyle. Annie Leibovitz captured Mad Men power couple, The Drapers for the September 09 issue of Vanity Fair. In her usual up close and personal style, she showed us what it would be like to if the retro pair led a modern life. Picture perfect.
