The gals behind Painfully Hip made a trip to Chicago recently and I had the pleasure to meet them. They organized a wonderful clothing swap at none other than the WOR loft on Milwaukee.

There were cute girls all around picking though eachothers discards. It worked out well for me. I got away with 5 dresses, a velor sweatshirt and a great purse.

It's amazing how one man's trash really is another man's treasure. Would any of you come if I organized a clothing swap for Chicagoland TMW readers???

To debut their spring 08 collection, Gamma Player, the cutting edge Wicker Park boutique, teamed up with Gen Art for a fashion filled night. Clients were treated to 10% off of the collection while they sipped cocktails and soaked in the classical music.

If you haven't been to Gamma Player (2035 W. Divsion, Chicago, IL) it 's time to make the trip. If you're a budget fashionista (a.k.a cheap), like me, it's time to start saving. The clothes are uber expensive but I promise they will be worth every penny. The owners, Jeff and Yoko, travel the world to hand pick everything that comes in the store.

Even if you can't afford the garb, unique accents throughout the store (like the book-lined wall and splatter of paper butterflies) are reason enough to make the trip.

I have taken my share of pictures at my friends' space, the WOR Loft, over the last few months. I feel pretty bad shooting style photos at the same place over and over again but I can't help it. It's just that it has been incredibly cold this winter (which has, sadly, hindered the street shots) but also, every time I go, I can't help but find people I think are pretty interesting, it's just that kind of place. I hope you understand...
