Latest Obsession: Made Her Think Jewelry

Allow me to share a growing obsession: Made Her Think. This jewelry line may not be Midwestern born nor raised, but unlike so many of my style obsessions, us Midwestern girls can easily access it and make it our own online. Brooklyn-based Meredith Kahn is the genius behind the lush, dark and edgily feminine bits and baubles of Made Her Think, drawing inspiration from the concept of joy in both life and death.
I spent an afternoon drooling over the Collection IX notebook (MHT’s variation of a lookbook), even printing it off to show my crew of designer friends. My favorites? The floating pyramid stud earrings in smoky quartz and double band chain ring in rose gold.
You can still check out and purchase from previous collections. The resin keepsake boxes are gorgeous and at a great price ($65). And for those lusting after MHT on a budget, there are two styles of skull rings on sale for $15 and $25 (this one comes in black, white and pink).
Maybe it’s my inner Goth or the recent upsurge of vampire media (True Blood and Twilight, anyone?), but Made Her Think is my perfect balance of delicate and dark, beautiful yet bold. Because when you sport a ring called the Talon Knuckle Buster, you got to know you’re making a statement.
