Latest Obsession: Paper Beats Rock

These latest accessories have me asking, Paper or plastic? I realize that typically wearable paper can come off as crafty at best. However with the latest episode of Project Runway, and paper accessories adorning the necks of the models on major catwalks, I am re-thinking this origami-like touch.

Paper jewelry looked especially chic with the designs by Camille Miceli for Fall 2009’s Ready to Wear collection for Louis Vuitton. There are even a few fantastic and affordable options available on Etsy. Paper chain or flat paper decoupage necklaces make fabulous statement pieces with any outfit and for anyone daring enough to try them, or careful enough not to get them wet.
